The Orland Central Dispatch Center is located within the Orland Fire District. The Center opened June of 1992, dispatching fire and EMS incidents for Orland Park and Orland Hills. In October of 1992, Orland Central began dispatching for the Homer Township Fire District. Since that time, Mokena, Peotone and East Joliet Fire Districts, with Romeoville and Calumet City Fire Departments have joined the center.

Orland Central is the Mutual Aid Box Alarm System (MABAS) Division 19 & 24 dispatch center, handling extra alarm incidents for 35 fire agencies. Additionally, Orland Central is responsible for the deployment of numerous specialty teams including dispatch of the Southwest Hazardous Material Response Team as well as handling the Combined Agency Response Team (tactical rescue) for forty-six agencies. The Center also assists in deploying any Statewide assistance, and is responsible for any suburban response into the City of Chicago, south of North Avenue, and to Midway Airport.

The center is lead by Director William Neumann, with a staff of full time and part time telecommunicators.
